The reliever AJ Minter will be operated on next Monday to repair a torn lat muscle, as the METS manager Carlos Mendoza announced.

Within two days, the METs officially lost both left-handed helpers with whom they started the season due to an injury after Danny Young was advised to undergo surgery.

Minter signed the meters in winter and overcame a hip problem to become an invaluable back end option. In 11 Innerings (13 appearances) he had an ERA of 1.64 with 14 strikes.

In view of his earlier injury in the 2025 season, the Mets practiced a wealth of caution while it opened Minter, but it still didn't work.

“Here we have an injury with a man we even tried to protect a lot of time,” said Mendoza. “We tried to give him the right peace and he was still going.”

The Mets promoted Genesis Cabrera, which recently served as a lonely southern paw of the Bullpen. They brought Brooks Raley back at a one -year -old deal, but it is not expected to celebrate his Saisond debut until the end of June when he ended his recovery of Tommy John Operation last May. It is expected that he will start with the rackets per Mendoza in the next few weeks.
