Fatal crash examines on the Hawkinsville Road 41nBC

Macon, Georgia (41nbc/wmgt) – The office of the Sheriff of the Bibb County examines a deadly traffic collision that took place this morning on the Hawkinsville Road north of the intersection of N. Alvanche Circle.

The crash was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 center at 2:48 a.m. that a vehicle that was identified as Saab drove directly on the Hawkinsville Road when it collided with a motorcycle to the north on the same street.

The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Macon, was declared dead at Coroner Leon Jones at the scene. His identity is held back until the notification of the next relatives.

All lanes to the north on the Hawkinsville Road at the intersection of S. Alvanche Circle have been temporarily closed during the examination, but have been open again since then.

The incident remains examined. The authorities ask everyone to contact the BIBB County's Sheriff office and ask them to talk to an investigator of deaths under the number 478-751-7500.
