The 72-year-old pilot from Indiana dies in the plane crash of a one-engine in Ashland County

Jackson township-one 72-year-old Indiana Pilot died on Monday evening in a one-engine aircraft crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around Polk, about four miles from Ashland County Airport.

According to WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Data from Flightsware quoted, Wolffel's aircraft from Lakefront Airport started in the rain before it finally fell off about 60 miles southwest of Cleveland.

Data from the FAA show that the aircraft was an eight-year KIT model Express 2000 feet and Wolfelt is listed as the owner, reported the station.

According to the patrol, the plane fell into the forest near Ohio 89 and the Township Road 902 at around 7:42 p.m., citing a preliminary investigation.

The soldiers were supported by the sheriff office of Ashland County, the Polk Jackson Perry Fire District, the Coroner's Office of the Ashland County, the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.

The incident will continue to be examined, said the patrol. The FAA will examine the crash.
