Elizabeth Odunsi Murder: roommate charged after the British student nurse stabbed in Texas

The roommate of a British student nurse was charged with her murder after being stabbed in Texas.

Elizabeth Odunsi, who was known to her friends and family as Tamilore Odunsi, was found on April 26 with several stab wounds on the kitchen floor of a property in Houston.

Chester Lamar Grant was arrested on Friday and later charged because of her murder after he was taken to the hospital in a critical condition.

Detectives were called to the property over an apartment complex for a welfare check and did not receive an answer when they knocked on the door, the police said.

Officers not only discovered Odunsi's body, but also found a man in a bedroom with at least one stab wound.

A Gofundme page has been set up to bring Odunsi's body back from the United States to Great Britain.
