Crime continues to automatic incidents in April – reports from Tallahassee – Tallahassee

Four months after 2025, the crime incidents published by the Tallahasee Police Department daily show that the total incidents of crime compared to Incident data from January to April in 2024 decreased by 37.2%. The decline was driven by 40.6% by a decline in ownership crimes.

In April, however, car theory and automatic burglaries rose 30%in April Dramatic-Unger compared to monthly incidents reported from January to March. Despite the increase, the incident categories remain compared to 2024.

The numbers

The incident data from TR -Tabulated show that the incidents of property crime have decreased by 40.6% and the incidents of violent crime have decreased by 30.1% during the 4 -month period.

Real estate crimes include burglaries, thefts and incidents of vandalism. Violent incidents include severe attacks, armed robberies and physical arguments.

A look at certain crimes (see table below) shows that the decline in real estate crime was controlled by 38.5% by a decline in commercial burglaries by 59.3 and a decline in residential areas. The car burglary and theft category, which is about 55% of all real estate crimes – declined by 36.8%.

The violent crime data show that robberies decreased by 28.9%, while the incidents of attack and batteries decreased by 30.7%.

Deadly shootings

Deadly shootings in 2025 dropped compared to 2024. In the first four months of 2024 there were 11 fatal shootings compared to 8 fatal shootings in the same 4-month period 2025.
