The violation of Angels' Mike Trout begins to be scary familiar

It only took a few weeks ago when Mike Trout and La Angels made their way to win. But now a further season of the disappointment of Angel's fans is staring in the eye, both in the overall ranking and in the vicinity of the largest player in the franchise.

Trout was back on the IL with a bone breeding in the left knee on the IL – the same knee that prompted him to miss most of the 2024. For most Angels fans, no structural damage felt like a victory. But as always, a cloud of uncertainty surrounded the injury.

When Trout met the IL for the first time, the communication that surrounded the bone bleeding was largely unconditional and as a precaution. After Trout reporters had been put on the IL, he already feels better and “it is much better than what happened last year. If you only looked at the MRI, everything is structurally well. Only the bones are injured by the bones.

Minasian was clearly under a different way of thinking and admitted that he had “no idea” if Trout was back and explained that there would be no schedule until he could walk comfortably.

Admittedly, there was probably not a single angel fan who heard trout words and felt relieved. Regardless of whether it is a 2021 veal stretch, a 2023 fracture in its Hamate bone or its meniscus torn in 2024, the fans are used to it. However, the lack of cohesion between trout and Minasian shows in the event of a bigger problem.

In the past half decades, Angels fans have got used to not trusting Minasan's words when it comes to injuries. His news of his often cloudy and uninterested, regardless of the topic. The quote from “No idea” caught flames in the fan base, probably for two reasons. The first is that it will be missing more time than we were originally told.

The second and much for an important reason is that it was the most honest thing that Minasian said during his tenure as General Manager of the Angels. Because every day it is clearer and clearer that he has no idea what he is doing. The fans can (and should) have (and should) hate Moreno, but Minasian no longer has any excuses, and the press conference he gave on Friday is just as much an indication of this as any signing, setting or trade that he made.

Maybe Trout will come back at the end of his IL stint, like Minasian I have no idea. But the constant mistakes in communication between player and front office and from them to the reporters are an overly familiar feeling for a tortured fan base in Anaheim.
