Six IU programs achieve four-year average perfect APR results in the last NCAA update-the Daily Hoosier

Ten IU light athletics programs achieved perfect APR results in the last annual update of the NCAA and six have a four-year average with a perfect score.

The six IU programs that have earned each of the past four years a perfect APR are men's basketball, men's tennis, women's basketball, Frauenkreuz -Land -Tennis and Volleyball.

The 10 IU programs that achieved a perfect APR point for the academic year 2023-24 are men's basketball, men's tennis, women's basketball, women's cross, women's golf, women's football, women's tennis, women's route, volleyball and water polo.

As a department, the combined one-year value of the IU 987 and all 22 programs of the IU were easy to reach the required four-year average of 930 in order to be considered for the NCAA championship competition during the 2024-25 season.

The goal of the NCAA's academic performance program is improvement, not punishment. The program not only ensures the accountability for athletes, teams and institutions, but also offers fairness by taking individual circumstances into account.

The APR offers a real-time view of the academic success of a team every semester by tracking every student athlete's academic progress on scholarships. The APR makes up justification, storage and completion and offers a measure of the academic performance of every team.

The latest APR results are based on a multi-year formula of points from the 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2023-24.
