Wisconsin Highlights Tourism Week publishes new state motorway cards

Madison, Wisconsin (WSAW) – Governor Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Dot and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, published the 2025-26 Wisconsin State Highway Map to help Wisconsinites plan their next trip through Wisconsin.

“Regardless of whether you check out a rustic road or visit one of the 12 historical sites of the state, this card helps people get safe from point A to point B and maybe find a new adventure on the way,” said Gov. Evers.

This week is celebrated as a National Travel and Tourism Week, which runs until May 10th.

“Tourism is an economic engine for wisconsin tarpaulins and simple and simple and it is thanks to local partners and local unique experiences that let people come back year after year. This week it is about celebrating them,” said Governor Evers.

Although electronic travel services are more popular than ever, the governor's office remains high after the demand for the latest version of the paper card.

The National Travel and Tourism Week will organize the NFL design of 2025 in Green Bay, which greeted over 600,000 participants with an expected economic influence of 94 million dollars nationwide, just a few weeks after the state has greeted the NFL draft from 2025.

In 2023, the tourism industry in Wisconsin recorded an economic impact of $ 25 billion, welcomed 113 million visitors, almost two million more than in the previous year and the highest visits overnight with almost 46 million.

All 72 counties in Wisconsin recorded economic effects in 2023. The industry supported more than 178,000 part-time and full-time employees and achieved $ 1.6 billion in state and local tax revenue.

“Visitors make memories and spend money here to enjoy the arts, the relaxation outdoors, the food and much more. Together it forms a flourishing tourism industry,” said Anne Sayers, secretary of Tourism, Wisconsin Department of Tourism.

The 2024 economic effects are expected to be announced next month.

Printed copies of the State Highway Map can be picked up free of charge at many locations, including Wisconsin rest areas, welcome centers and travel information centers.
