Gaupa video for new single “Ten of Twelve”; New mini album available in July

The Progressive Stoner Rock Powerhouse, Guapa, has published a video for its brand new single “Ten of Twelve”, which serves as a further starter for the upcoming 4-track mini album fyr of the group, which is equipped on July 4 via nuclear blast records and magnetic eye records that take over the physical release. Fyr contains the band's former single, “Heavy Lord”, which was unveiled in December 2024, while the vinyl and CD editions also have the trace “Sömnen / Fersvan” (Live at Monkey Moon, 2023) with physical formats.

Since the publication of her self -titled EP in 2018, Sweden's Guapa, which is translated as “lynx” in English, has continued to build new ground in the Stoner and in the psychedelic scene and set up its own unique cosmos, which is defined by enchanting lyrical surrealism and change of spirit.

In 2020, her debut album Febergröm pushed her into the spotlight with its outstanding mix of progressive metal, doom, stoner and folk, which was controlled by the strenuous singing of the front woman Emma Näslund. Just a year later, they found their label home at Nuclear Blast Records.

Following the Arrival of 2022's Myriad, with the Track “Exoskeleton” REACHING Over A Million Streams on Spotify (The Ep's Febersvan Now Has Over 4 Million), Guapa Went on To Deliver Countless non -Forschetttable Performanances with Appearances at Festival Rock, Hellfest, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken, Wacken. In summer, they started writing their first full offer for three years, a four-track mini album entitled Fyr, a play on words with several translations, which means “lighthouse” to “set something on fire” and the number “Four” in Swedish.

The four-track mini album marks the fourth publication and the beginning of her next chapter as a four-person band. Despite her newly updated line -up, Fyr is anything but minor; With the help of the new mixed engineer Karl Daniel Lidén, it serves her hardest material so far. Fyr was recorded in the autumn 2024 in the studios of Svenska Grammofon studion, Gothenborg and Estethuset and is a genre bending trip through enthusiastic psychedelia, groove-loaded stoner rock and heavy prog mental.

Fyrs playfully confusing and surreal poetry from moisture examines the concept of time loosely: “What is real, what not and what is a dream”, also inspired by science fiction novels, nature and animals.

Later this year, Gaupa will continue to play as an extraordinary live consciousness and festivals such as Stoomfest in Great Britain, noise at the Bach in Germany and Motokultor in France.
