The cover story “Death in Trieste” sets the scene in Berlin in the 1920s, a busy cultural hotspot in the shade of upcoming National Socialism. Here are a large number of unlikely character-style people David Bowie, Rasputin, Nosferatu, Marlene Dietrich and multi-von of a group of Dadaists who carry out the art of rationality through madness. In “The Magritte Affair”, a female couple of detective has to interrupt a case with artistic counterfeits, masked men and mysterious disappearance – everything connected to the surrealistic world of the famous Belgian painter. Finally, in “Sweet Dreams”, Jason introduces the New Wave artists of the 1980s as X-Men-like superheroes. While this supergroup sends slightly supernatural threats such as living mummies, animated armaments and raging Golems, they will soon face their greatest challenge because a huge meteorite moves towards the earth.
