Here is a current NBA story from the Associated Press:

Kenny Atkinson's biggest concern in Cleveland's semi -final series against Indiana in Cleveland's Eastern Conference tried to take the Pacers' Pacers off.

Compounding matters for Atkinson is that the Cavaliers may have to go to the short-handers on Tuesday on Tuesday.

The strikers Evan Mabley and De'andre Hunter have joined Darius Garland among those who are questionable when the top cavaliers try to be the series at home themselves.

Mobley and Hunter were injured in the fourth quarter of a close game before Indiana took control, both injured in a period of 26 seconds and withdrawn on Sunday evening for a win of 121: 112.

Mobley shone his left ankle when he was excluded by Indiana's Myles gymnast and had no place to land after his turnaround hook shot brought up the Cavs with 99-98 with 8:10 a.m.

In Cleveland, Hunter gave his thumb on his shooting hand after Bennedict Mathurin blocked his run -dark attempt. Hunter landed hard on his right hand after the shot was blocked. The Cavs lost the repetition when Mathurin's block was considered clean.

Atkinson said that he did not consider the pieces to be dirty, but thought that they had passed a number of physicality and had become excessive. He also hopes that this will not be an issue in the entire series.

“I don't think this is on Indiana. But the fact of the thing, I think that's on the referees,” said Atkinson after training on Monday. “Maybe they were missed or I misinterpreted the rules, but I have a problem if we doubt two of our best players for the game of tomorrow. It is difficult for me to deal with it. And there were no calls to both.

“I haven't talked about referees all year round and I think the referees in this league are phenomenal and they do a great job. It was a damn good crew last night, but for some reason it bothers me to do it. At least there should be some effects on the call.”

Garland missed the last three games because of a bricked Big Toe. The All-Star-Point Guard will try on Tuesday afternoon to see if it can return to the line-up.

Garland's presence in the defense was certainly missed on Sunday after Tyrese Haliburton had 22 points and 13 assists and three blocked shots. The Cavs were exceeded by 10 points when Sam Merrill, Garland's replacement, was on the floor.

“Halliburton is obviously the head of the snake at this pace. They have everyone who can bring it. They all sprinted at their places and we have to be a little better with it,” said Merrill.

Atkinson believed that the cavaliers would come out the same focus they had when they swept the Miami heat. Instead, they were physically pushed around in the fourth quarter.

“I had the feeling that we were challenged and concentrated to coordinate this series (against Miami). I thought we would bring out the same focus and all the stuff, and for some reason we didn't do it. At the end of the day, it is recognition for Indiana because they honestly brought us to us,” said Atkinson.

Indiana Pacers in Cleveland Cavaliers

If/where to see: game 2, 7 p.m. edt (tnt)

Series: Pacers Lead, 1-0

BetmGM says: Cavaliers around 9.5

What to know is: Cleveland has to do better both shoot and defend 3-clod. The cavaliers were 9 out of 38 from beyond the arch, only the fourth time this season in which they shot below 25%, and 5 out of 20 with open shots on the basket. Donovan Mitchell scored 34 points, but was 1 out of 11 from a great distance. Indiana was 19 of 36, including 11 out of 19 on open looks. Andrew Nembhard had 23 points, including five 3 points. In his last three playoff games he is 12 out of 19 from beyond the arch. The Pacers have been trying 2-0 on the street for the first time since a series of the first round against Orlando. Cleveland has not dropped his first two at home in the first round against the Knicks in the playoffs since 1996.

Golden State Warriors in Minnesota Timberwolves

When/where to see: game 2, 9:30 p.m. Edt (tnt)

Series: game 1

BetmGM says: Timberwolves around 6.5

What to know? However, the teams have not faced each other since January 15th when the Warriors had a win from 116-115 on the street. This is the third time that the sixth and seventh seeds play against each other. The last time was in 2023 when No. 7 seed Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Warriors in six games. Draymond Green from Golden State needs three templates to reach 1,000 for his career in the playoffs. He would be the 15th player in the NBA history that would reach this milestone. Minnesota has returned for the first time in franchise history beyond the first rounds in successive seasons.
