Vancouver man killed after drivers use garage openers to break in

Drivers discovered a garage opener and used it to break into a house and shoot and kill a man, confirmed the Vancouver police authority (VPD).

VPD officers were called in the 10,400 block of the se French road and discovered a man with considerable injuries as soon as they entered the house.

“The victim was brought to a regional hospital where he later died,” said VPD in a statement on social media. “This incident is examined as a murder.”

The residents were witnesses how people in the area looked, including the victim's driveway, where he had a rental car parked. VPD found that the Prowlers found his garage opener and got into the garage with the key. The victim found the suspect and confronted them, but was shot shortly after the confrontation.

Suspects remain free

The suspects fled from the scene. VPD is actively working to identify and locate them.
