It was claimed two months ago that Microsoft was working with A PC gaming-Oem on a gaming handheld from Xbox brand.

It seems that the PC -Gaming -Oem Microsoft works with Asus, since the pictures of the ASUS ROG Ally 2 with Xbox Branding appear online.
