Tottenhams James Maddison for the season with knee injury

The midfielder of Tottenham, James Maddison, will be missed with a knee injury for the rest of the season, Manager Verzecoglou confirmed.

Maddison suffered the injury in the 3-1 win of Spurs against Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of her semi-finals in the Europa League last week.

Postecoglou said after the match that it “doesn't look promising” and fears that Maddison will be confirmed for a long time on Wednesday.

“He will miss the rest of this season and disappointing for him,” said Postecoglou in front of the second leg against Bodo/Glimt a press conference on Thursday.

“I am disappointed for him because he was a real catalyst for us. He will miss it, but that was the story of our season.

“Everyone else has traveled and they are ready to go.”

The message means that Maddison will miss the final of the Europa League when Spurs qualifies.
