Kayaker attacked and killed in the Florida State Park of Alligator: Officials

According to the authorities, a kayak driver was attacked and killed by an alligator on Tuesday afternoon in the Lake Kissimmee State Park in Central Florida.

The authorities were made aware of the incident shortly before 4 p.m. when a witness reported an encounter with the reptile.

Video of the scene showed law enforcement officers who used both boats and helicopters to react to the scene and possibly look for the animal.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission published an explanation with the inscription: “Preliminary information shows that a woman was canoeing when she pushed an alligator and went into the water. The woman was later recovered and explained.”

The Lake Kissimmee, which extends around 35,000 acres of the counties of Polk and Oscola in the counties, is known for having one of the highest concentrations of alligators in the Sunshine State.

FWC estimates that around 1.3 million alligators live in all of Florida.

State records show that there have been fewer than 500 confirmed alligator bite incidents with people since 1948.

A recently carried out analysis by experts from the University of Florida showed that more than 90% of the incidents recorded contained any form of inattentiveness or risk of people before the attack.

The most recent incident takes place during the Peak Alligator Pairing time, a time when the animals are typically more active and territorial.

In addition, persistent drought conditions can lead to some alligators from their usual habitats.

University experts advise outdoor enthusiasts to approach Wetland's caution with increased caution and swamp areas, and compared it to hiking in the bear'sland or swimming in waters that are known for being inhabited by sharks.

The authorities have not confirmed whether the animal was found by Tuesday evening.

A contractual harassment alligator Trapper was sent to the area to look for the animal.
