Trump administrator for the transport of immigrants without papers to Libya

The Trump administration has plans to transport a group of immigrants to Libya in a US military aircraft without papers, an administrative officer told CNN.

It is unclear when the plane would go and whether other groups of migrants would also be sent to Libya – a country that will take part in a continuing civil conflict in the future, the official said.

Flight Trackers show that a US Air Force C-17 submitted a plan on Wednesday to fly from Kelly Field in San Antonio to Misrata Airport in Libya. The United States has repeatedly used the large C-17 migrants in recent months to transport migrants.

The White House refused to comment. CNN initially reported that the administration communicated with Libya so that the country takes over migrants from the United States. Reuters first reported on the potential military flight this week.

The decision to send migrants to Libya who previously criticized the United Nations because of their hard treatment of migrants is a further escalation of the President's deportation policy – which was exposed to widespread political and legal counter -reactions.

When President Donald Trump was asked about the potential flight, he said on Wednesday in the Oval Office: “I don't know that you have to ask the security of the home protection.”

On the website of the Foreign Ministry, Level 4 website has for Libya. “Do not travel to Libya due to crime, terrorism, non -exploded country mines, civilian unrest, kidnapping and armed conflicts,” the website says.

A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry rejected it to comment on the deportation plans and said: “We do not discuss the details of our diplomatic communication with other governments.”

CNN turned to a representative of the Libyan Gens Saddam Haftar last week, who was in Washington for talks with civil servants to comment on the deportation plans. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a Libyan official said that it was not about deportations at his meetings.

A Libyan official told CNN: “The deportation of migrants to Libya was never discussed. This did not happen. Everything we talked about was published as on the official agenda.”

Talks about sending migrants to other countries in Africa such as Rwanda will continue. But there are currently no confirmed plans for flights to these other countries, according to sources, which are familiar with these discussions.
