The driver who was taken to the hospital in Macon after a single car accident on the I-75 in Macon

A driver is in the hospital after crashing his car on the I-75 in Macon on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Sheriff's Office of the BIBB County (BSO), the MPs reacted to the accident at 1:06 p.m. shortly before the Pierce Avenue exit for a car accident with a red sports supply company.

According to the BSO, paramedics brought the driver of the car to a local medical facility to treat their injuries.

WGXA was on site of the crash and found the red car with serious damage on the front and lay south against the shoulder of the I-75. The MacOn-Bibb fire brigade also worked on the accident.

BSO later said WGXA that the driver hit the barrier when he had traveled south after he had lost control of his vehicle, and he is currently listed in stable condition.

The traffic was slightly affected by the crash.
