President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he would not be considered to reduce 145% tariffs of the United States in China to change negotiations with Beijing.

Trump replied a circular route “No” when he was asked in the White House if he was open to withdraw to the steep imports to bring China to the negotiating table.

Trump's commitment to his tariffs took place for three days before the US Finance Minister Scott Bessen should meet with his Chinese counterpart in Switzerland in order to discuss trade and economic questions.

China said on Wednesday that the United States applied for this meeting and that Beijing remained “firm” against Trump's tariff hikes in the talks.

When asked what he expected to get out of the meeting in Europe, Trump said: “We will see … We have lost trillion dollars for a year, now we don't lose anything, you know? It's the way I look at it.”
