Ed Sheeran shares old pictures of Taylor Swift, more stars on new Instagram

Ed Sheeran launched a new Instagram account to celebrate his upcoming single “Old Phone”.

The account @teddysoldphone is a nostalgic look through the mobile phone of the songwriter born in Suffolk, which he retired in 2015. The account contains a number of pictures, texts, lyrical notes and more previously and more and comes before the publication of his new single on Thursday (April 29), the four-time gram winner, which was confirmed in a post.

Sheeran was inspired to write the new song when he checked his old phone during the copyright lawsuit for his single “Thinking Out Loud” from 2014. Marvin Gaye's estate was claimed that he had copied elements of Gayes “Let's Get On On” during the production of the song, but in November 2024 sheeran was cleared by a jury and the song was created regardless of The Motown Classic.

“It felt like a time capsule, a time of life when I was in 2015 and lived at that time,” the musician labeled a contribution in his new report. “I really turned out and found myself scrolling news and conversations with people.

The new Insta account contains a number of intimate moments from Sheeran's life and career. He shares memories between himself Ms. Cherry in her early phases of dating, a selfie with Harry Styles at the Olympic Games in London in 2012 and a touching news of his father after a performance with Stevie Wonder.

Also included in the Billboard Music Awards in 2015 with Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris and One Direction, which with his late friends and employees Mac Miller and Jamal Edwards (Creator from SBTV) and an insight into the songwriting process for hit songs such as “Bloodstram” and “Love Yourself” and “Love Yourself” and “Love Yourself” and “look at a selection of treasures downwards”.

“Old Phone” will be the second single from Sheerans coming album, which he recently confirmed as a calling Play. “Azizam” follows – which is translated into “My Dear” in Farsi – which was inspired by the producer Illya Salanzadeh's Persian heritage. The song reached 28th place on the Billboard Hot 100.

Sheeran also announced how his upcoming song was created in one of the contributions in his new account. “I wrote the song old cell phone alone at 2 a.m. while Jet ended the album in India and recorded it this morning. It feels like a song that should have been on my debut album, but also a song that I could not have written until I experienced real things,” he said. “It makes me sing emotionally, I hope there is also some emotions in you. Maybe it will switch your old phone in and see where you were a decade ago, whatever it does, I am glad that I wrote it.”

He also built a tailor-made pop-up British Pub called the Old Phone at this year's Coachella Festival, where he performed the song live for the first time.
