Fargo (KFGO) – The Fargo police in 2024 reported a decline in crime in all important categories compared to 2023 despite an increase in calls last year.

While cases of murder, rape and robbery had expired, the overall crime against people had dropped in 2024. Compared to two in the previous year, there were six murders. The rape cases rose by 37% and robberies by 5%. Approaches, break -ins and vehicle thefts were all below, while shop theft had expired.

According to Chief Dave Zibolski, the implementation of the technology was a large part of the department's strategic plan.

A technology is the real-time criminal center, which is monitored by sworn and civilian employees who can send officials to a place where a crime is committed.

“This technology has solved murders, robberies, missing people and a large number of things,” says Zibolski. “When we used it for special events, we made many incidents that would otherwise have broken into a criminal activity, a fight, attack, etc.

Zibolski presented the report to the city commission.
