Hunter Greene starts for red with groin injury

Atlanta-Cincinnati Right-wing Hunter Greene was planned for tests on Thursday to determine the severity of a right-wing stray injury, which forced him to leave the 4-3 victory against the Atlanta Braves after just three Innerings on Wednesday evening.

Greene excluded six batteries and only allowed two goals before he could not complete his warming up on the hill in the fourth inning. Greene only threw two warm -up parking spaces, including one last pitch that hit the dirt before stopping his routine.

“I felt fantastic this evening,” said Greene. “It is shit because the swing was great and all my things felt good. At the top of the fourth I felt my first two warm -up parking spaces, as I grabbed my groin package, so I just didn't have the feeling that I would be able to throw my team from my best or really honestly, if I stay in it. That was the decision.”

Greene said he hoped he didn't have to miss a start, but said this was his first groin injury and he could not predict which tests will show on Thursday.

“I look forward to getting out of this week how long it will take to get back on the hill,” said Greene. “I will bring my best foot forward and make sure that I put myself in the best position to get out again. Hopefully I won't miss any starts, but I don't know what the future has about it.”

Greene immediately attracted a lot on the hill, which included the Reds Infielders, a trainer and manager Terry Francona. After a short meeting, Greene was accompanied by the field with 4: 0.

Greene scored a season high of the season height with a 6-1 win against Washington against Washington against Washington against Washington. He threw 114 pitches into the game, most of it for every pitcher in the big leagues this season.

Greene said he didn't think the number of high pitch contributed to the injury at his last start.

“I don't think,” he said. “I felt fantastic up to this last playing field. The recovery was great this evening last week. I would be really surprised if that had a correlation this evening. I don't think that did it.”

Francona noticed Greene that he had played a grave and no pop in the groin area.

“I don't think something that happens to him is a good thing, but I don't think it's bad,” said Francona.

Greene was again keen against the good. The 25-year-old right-handed man struck the page on the second page. Alex Verdugo beat 101 miles per hour almost ball on Greenes in the third inning to give the right -hander six strikeouts.

The left -hander Brent Suter replaced Greene on the hill.
