U.S. anchlage due to NYC with three cases of anti-Jewish hate crimes

The US Justice Ministry (DOJ) accused Tarek Bazroouk, 20 in New York, three cases in the past nine months in which hate crimes against Jewish victims were committed.

The police arrested Bazroouk this morning and he has a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison.

“As supposedly, Tarek Bazroouk deliberately and attacked the Jewish victims in protests in relation to the Israel/Gaza Strip on three separate occasions,” said US lawyer Jay Clayton.

“Although Bazroouk was arrested after each incident, he was supposedly undeterred and quickly returned to use violence to aim for Jews in New York City. This office is devoted to the search for justice for victims of hate crimes and will pursue those who are aggressive who spread bigotry and discrimination against violence.”

In the first incident, Bazroouk attacked three Jewish people during an anti-Israel demonstration with a green headband in an anti-Israel demonstration, while the Hamas carried by Hamas imitated. The attacks took place in Lower Manhattan outside the NY Stock Exchange.

He was initially arrested for falling a group of pro-Israel demonstrators. When he was accompanied by the police in the vehicle, Bazroouk kicked a Jewish college student in his stomach. This student stood in the group of pro-Israel demonstrators who wore Kippahs, wore Israeli flags and sang songs.

Eight months later, in early December 2024, Bazroouk beat a Jewish student alongside a university campus in Upper Manhattan during an anti-Israel protest. At the time of the attack, this second victim was born with his brother a Kippah and both held Israeli flags.

When the demonstration continued, Bazroouk stole an Israeli flag and fled to the victim's brother. The brother followed Bazroouk through the crowd to get the flag. At that time, Bazroouk sneaked behind the victim and hit him in the face.

In the third incident, Bazkrouk attacked a third victim in the Gramency Park area at another anti-Israel protest in early January 2025. Bazroouk contacted the third victim's shoulder and caught his foot around his ankle. The victim, which wore an Israeli flag, a hat with an Israeli flag and a star of David Halkette, tried to push bazroouk and curse it. At that time, Bazroouk hit him with a fist closed.

Anti -Semitism on Bazroouk's phone

After the law enforcement authorities had searched Bazroouk's phone, text messages revealed his support for Hamas and its anti -Semitic bias according to the Doj. In these messages, Bazroouk revealed himself as a “Jewish hater”, who described Jews as “worthless” and blackmailed “Allah” to “get rid of” [Jews]”” Called an acquittal a “damn Jew” and asked a friend “to hit this bitch” and to refer to a woman with an Israeli sticker on her laptop. He also told a friend that he was “crazy happy” that some of his family are overseas of Hamas.

“As claimed, Tarek Bazroouk intentionally damage Jewish New York – against her in protests, picked them out and attacked them for nothing other than her identity,” said NYPD commissioner Jessica S. Tisch.

“The recent increase in violent crime against Jewish citizens is deeply worrying, and this FBI will continue to pursue those responsible,” said FBI director Kash Patel on X/Twitter.

“We will soon have more to say. Well done with our FBI teams who run the mission.”
