According to the foreign goal, the IOWA basketball reports

A foreign basketball destination for Iowa is said to be in a different direction.

Thijs de Ridder, a 6-foot 8-power striker, had been associated with the Hawkeyes. Born in Belgian, Surnische Bilbao Basket plays the Endesa League for the Spanish squad, where he achieved an average of 11.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, while he scored 58.5% from the field, 30.0% from 3-point reach and 61.3% from the leisure line.

De Ridder also has experience with the Belgian national team.

While Iowa was considered a finalist, the Spanish basketball journalist Chema de Lucas reports that it looks as if de Ridder was going to Virginia. Per Chema de Lucas, Providence, Connecticut and Kansas State were also in the mix.

IOWA has already landed obligations of the transfer portal of Drake Transfers Bennett Stirtz, Kael Combs, Isaia Howard, Tavion Banks and Cam manyawu, the transfer guard by Kansas, Brendan Hausen and Robert Morris Transferer Alvaro Follow.

After the striker Cooper Koch also returns, the Hawkeyes still have to fill out their first squad under head coach Ben McCollum. Iowa has organized the High Point Transfer Guard Kezza Giffa and the international transfer guard by Florida Ashton Williamson for visits in the past two weeks.

Giffa, a 6-foot 2, 165-pound guard, scored an average of 14.6 points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game, while scored 44% out of the field, 31.3% from 3-point range and 85.1% from the free-wound line.

Williamson, a 6-foot 2, 170 pound watchman, scored an average of 7.3 points, 2.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game in 33 games. Williamson shot 39.4% of the field, 32.9% compared to 3-point range and 67.6% from the free sausage line.

Perhaps Iowa de Ridder can still do a late thrust to strengthen his front site before completing a move to Virginia. Here is a look at some of the highlights of De Ridder, while you are at the Belgian national team:
