A man was killed in a quarter of Durham at a shootout on Wednesday evening.

Around 9:30 p.m., officials from the Durham police department reacted to a house in the 300 block of S. Benjamine St.

A man with a gunshot wound was declared dead at the crime scene.

The shootout is examined, but the police said the incident seems to be isolated. No suspicious information was passed on.
