Why journalism: Since I was small, I have loving the news and politics. In the high school I started writing for my student newspaper. I learned to appreciate the importance of information. The rapid new surroundings also aroused my interest. I was so passionate about journalism that I worked as the editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper and finally the Iowa State Daily.

I like my beat because: It always changes. Less than two days are the same if you are a reporter, and this is particularly considered a trend reporter. My content reaches thousands of people every week. I also appreciate that many of my stories are free for our readers, which makes the news more accessible. Part of my job enables me to help other USA Today Network Newsrooms in emergencies, such as the recent forest fires in North and South Carolina.

Some of my favorite stories recently: You may have seen my Byline in our live blogs for storms. I recently wrote an article about Altoona that annexes land over 800 acres. I was able to talk to Community members about their thoughts about the change. Another of my favorite stories provided the influencer and the artist Anania, a native Iowa who uses her large Tikok supporter and comedy to clarify your audience via LGBTQ topics.

Stories on which I work next: As I said, every day is different and my job usually completed three stories a day. So I don't always know which stories I will work on until the day begins. A project I am looking forward to is Pella's tulp time. Pay attention to our social media videos about the food and fashion of the festival.

If I don't work, I like to like: Roller shoes around Grey's Lake. I recently moved and would like to explore more ways in the city center that are well suited for removal skating.

My favorite -iowa -spuk: On most days I am in downtown anytime fitness. I try to train part of my daily routine. Getting up and moving helps me to write 8 hours every day of the week.

Funny fact about me: My nine best friends of the high school are still my best friends today. We went to Puerto Rico at the end of April to celebrate one of our friend's 25th birthday.
