Youth violence and youthful death difficult to accept (La Parker -Kolumn)

Dione Ellis. (Peace in peace).

Whenever a teenager, a boy or a girl is torn from our lives, killed in every way in the city of Trenton, a picture of Dione Ellis.

The conscious reaction to murder stimuli is a healthy inability to let go of the past. If we want better conditions, secure surroundings for our youth and then with pain and devastation in connection with murders with teenagers.

Despite the fact that Ellis, a 16-year-old inhabitant of the city who had dreamed of being a clothing designer died in July 2021, pursued his image.

According to the Office for youth jurisdiction and crime prevention (OJJDP), more than half (57 percent) youth murder victims were black in 2020, 41 percent were white and 2 percent were Indians or Asians.

The murder, usually due to weapons, is still the most common cause of death for black young people aged 10 to 34. About 42 percent people in this age group are murder victims.

Ellis, a basketball player, increasing second and city rescue swimmer in the Roberto Clement Pool, climbed after being shot into his head. Unbelievable and unfortunately a young man who, in the name of children and adults who need water rescue, died in such a violent matter to protect the protective measures to protect this potential life, and lacked this potential lifespan.

The time cannot heal all wounds, but there are enough ticks of the watch in the past. We hurt for a while and then continue. Family members and friends have feelings nearby for a lifetime. The sudden death of the relatives provides shock waves and revelations that linger forever.

A typical example, a recent breakfast with two important city players included a personal part of my mother's death. When memories of this fateful morning were expressed, my voice and the eyes tore. (Big boys don't cry). Life has never been the same since this September morning. Imagine these feelings of an 11-year-old boy who is still just below the skin of a 70-year-old man.

Worse, look at the feelings of Ellis' mother, family members and friends, not only on Mother's Day or Father's Day, but also every day, sunrise and sunset.

An obituary found that Ellis loved all of his family and friends and proved his love for his parents as immeasurable. An interview had made it possible for him to express wonderful feelings about the family. When asked what motivated him, Ellis gave a great answer – his parents.

Family members said that Dione had gone to size with the love of fashion, especially sneakers. In fact, the young entrepreneur formed an LLC called “Young N” and created a clothing line. Ellis had a wild excitement for life until this moment when a crazy person shot and killed him.

Only six months have passed since Trenton put the death of the 17-year-old opium “Dante” Leverett over shooting and was killed after a street fight against a rival. Fists of anger are not agreed for attackers with itchy trigger fingers. The law enforcement authorities accused a 19-year-old because of the murder of Leverett.

In May. 2024, a shooter, shot and killed Stephon Fisher, 18, Leverett's best friend. In an article by Trentonian it was found that Fisher and Leverett had formed a unique bond as a black binary stars and had turned together in a world that had apparently got out of control.

When we separate from the reality of violence, especially in terms of our youth, life loses value. The city of Trenton Pools will open shortly, it is easy to present Ellis. He would have turned 20 on June 12th.
