According to activists, only 14 percent of the British coasts and rivers are in good ecological condition due to private water companies.

The surfers against wastewater charity organization said that private companies had not invested in a new infrastructure to protect rivers. These numbers come after a manager of southern water was guilty of 13 cases of the wastewater in the Kent coast.

The company published untreated wastewater on the Kent coast in the course of three years.

Southern Water also has the call to waste clean water, with the company losing 91 million liters a day. They are far from being the only privatized water company that damages the environment and health of people.

In May 2024, the supply of South West Water in Brixham, Devon, with cryptosporidium, a parasite, caused diarrhea. Around 16,000 customers cooked their water to avoid serious illnesses.

Surfers against waste water said that 1,853 disease reports in Great Britain were used by people who use rivers in Great Britain.

No wonder that water bosses can get away with such a high level of pollution – water companies can monitor their own pollution.

Activists have long said that the true scale of the catastrophe is not known. In Scotland, the SAS Water Company recorded rivers and Lochs every 90 seconds every 90 seconds last year.

Roz Foyer Roz Foyer, Secretary General of the Scottish TUC union, said: “The double morality can be clearly seen. While workers fight, management and managerial managers do not seem to worry about securing themselves to start the bonus payments of eye watering.”

The Unison Union Scottish Water Branch Secretary Tricia McArthur said: “The Scottish water directors have to get out of their ivory towers and listen to the concerns of their employees.

“The employees are fed up with being a matter of course and underpaid, while their work is triggered to private contractors, which causes the public even more at the expense.”

The privatization of water companies is to blame and profit, while environmental and health concerns are considered irrelevant to benefit bosses.

The only solution is to nationalize all water companies and not to compensate those who make money with the destruction of the environment and health of people.
