England Star 'Touch and Go' for the summer tour after injuries hell: Planet Rugby

Exeter's Rugby director of Rob Baxter has found that Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is “touch and go” after a nightmare school violation for a potential return of England.

The English winger suffered a shoulder in the Premiership obligation in December, but delays in the operation have meant that he has not been brought to the field since then.

“Touch and go back before the end of the season.”

“His rehab is going well and it is touched that he will come back at the end of the season,” said Baxter this weekend before his team's collision against Northampton Saints.

“It's a kind of time frame, about four weeks.”

After Baxter brings a time frame for the English backrest for four weeks, Baxter returns to the mix for the tour of America, Steve Borthwick will want to call his services.

Rob Baxter to “advance” Exeter after dramatic coaching changes

In view of the time he was out of the game, it could also be better to leave him at home and to prepare him fully for the next season, and Baxter feel that Feyi-Waboso is put into a “no-loser situation”.

“He is almost in a situation without loss,” said the exeter boss.

“He could be put back into operation and be fit and maybe someone who wants to go on tour to England if he is ready to go.

“But at the same time, if he had the summer free and he had a full previous season with us, he would also benefit from it.

“He is one of the boys who are in a happy position where everything happens, he will probably be fine.”

The Chiefs Ace is one of several English wings that find fitness at the right time. The exeter teammate Tommy Wyatt approaches a return from his thigh injury. Ollie Sleightholme will probably be back from the tour to America from his ankle injury, and Cadan Murley has returned from a foot injury that picked up the Six nations obligation.

Elsewhere, Ollie Fix-Collins, Adam Radwan and Gabriel Ibitoye are also potential wing options.

Löwen?

With Feyi-Waboso's lengthy dismissal, it seems highly unlikely that Andy Farrell's Lions squad will be announced later today, but Baxter did not fully write off the wing player's hopes after his own coaching experience in a Lions year.

“I helped many moons on an England tour, and the players left us every five minutes in Argentina to join the Lions. Every time an injury or something has changed.”
