A woman armed with a weapon was shot on Wednesday evening during a confrontation with MPs, according to the office of the Broward's sheriff.

Around 9:30 p.m., the MPs were in a restaurant in the 1900 Block of the Ne 2 Street in relation to a woman with a weapon who was asked according to Sheriff's Office.

When the MPs arrived, they found them in the parking lot. According to the sheriff's office, there was a confrontation and shots were fired. It is unclear whether there was an exchange of shots.

The woman was killed. A deputy was injured and brought to a regional hospital. The sheriff's office could not confirm whether the deputy was shot or injured by other means.

A restaurant employee said that he heard of six or seven shots seconds after the resignation of the house.

“The shots started and everyone started panic. There were adults, toddlers and even a baby in the shop. Some of us were shocked, many people were really afraid. It came out of the blue and was absolutely crazy.

Marquez said he saw the injured MP.

“After what I could tell, one of the officers who was shot seemed to be okay, but I couldn't see the woman where I was,” I said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will examine the shootout.
