Woman and 2 children killed in the Crash County County on Wednesday afternoon

Greensburg, Kan. (Wibw) – A woman and two children lost their lives on Wednesday afternoon in Kiowa County in the southwest of Kansas, civil servants said.

The crash was reported on Wednesday at 3:35 p.m. on the US 54 Highway about nine miles west of Greensburg.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2000 Ford F-1550 pickup drove west on the eastern trace of the US 54, while a semi-trailer in 2026 drove east in east.

The patrol said the semi -trailer went to the left to avoid the Ford pickup.

The patrol said the Ford pickup then stepped back into the western lane and came together with the semi-trailer.

The drivers of the pickup, Teresa Christine Davis, 68, from Meade, was brought to the Dodge City Medical Center, where she was declared dead.

Two passengers, Hunter Welch (10) and Travis Welch (13), both from Meade, were also brought to the Dodge City Medical Center, where they were declared dead.

The patrol said that all three occupants in the Ford Pickup wore their seat belts.

The driver of the Semitrailer, Consensant Kukreja, 22, from Sunnyvalle, California, was reported unharmed. The patrol said Kukreja, who was alone in the Semi, was wearing his seat belt.
