Ky. Man who was charged with the death of the baby

Bell County, Ky. (Wymt/Wkyt) – A man from Ostkentucky was charged on Thursday for a murder and three cases of criminal abuse.

After the indictment, Harvey Gollahan was charged by a big jury because of his role in the death of Elena Hembree.

The 17 -month -old died in July 2023.

The indictment against the first count, Gollahan, was willful that caused a serious risk of death for hembree.

In the points two to four, the indictment notes that Gollahan committed the criminal criminal offense to the first degree by allowed another person (in his care and control during the necessary time) to be misused and thereby causing torture, cruel restriction or cruel punishment.

Elena's mother, Erica Lawson, is also charged with murder, not because of the neglect or abuse of children, the first degree criminal abuse and the first degree at risk.
