Accident with Scooter driver, vehicle is closed after the street in West Nashville

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV) – According to the police department of Metro Nashville, a person who drove with a scooter was reportedly seriously injured in an accident with a vehicle.

The crash blocked the traffic from both directions from Interstate 40 Ramp on the Old Hickory Boulevard in West Nashville.

Tennessee's Ministry of Transport said that the Old Hickory Boulevard was blocked by Charlotte Pike.

The crash was reported shortly after 5 a.m. on Thursday before McKays and near the Gower Elementary School.

A spokesman for the Metro Nashville Public Schools announced WSMV4 that the crash and the subsequent street block have no problems for employees, parents and students who come to school.
