Apple's leaked iPhone roadmap sees bigger and better than ever

Last autumn, a leaked internal memo, John Ternus, resulted in the Hardware leader of Apple, and claimed that the current roadmap of the iPhone was the “most ambitious in the history of the product”. Now Lecks have set this large iPhone roadmap this week and seem to support Ternus' claim. Here is what's coming.

iPhone Roadmap reveals a larger line -up than ever before

This week we received significant iPhone roadmap leaks from two prominent, reputable sources: Wayne Ma and Ming-Chi Kuo.

The iPhone 17 series has been clear for some time, with a basic iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max and the brand new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air.

But now we know what we can expect in the coming years.

2026 an iPhone 17E is expected to bring at the beginning of the year, followed by four models in autumn:

• iPhone 18 air: same size as 17 air
• iPhone 18 Pro: Corner Hole Punch, not a large neckline
• iPhone 18 Pro Max: As above
• iPhone 18 -Fach: Apple's first foldable

Then Apple will debut a whopping six new iPhones in 2027.

Apple Autumn 2027 list looks similar to 2026:

• iPhone 19 air: larger aerial screen size
• iPhone 19 Pro: Possibly not a camera neckline at all
• iPhone 19 Pro Max: As above
• iPhone 19 times: second generation foldable

Ambitious new era for the iPhone

If MA and KUO's reporting proves to be precise, Apple plans to take two important steps with the iPhone in the coming years:

1. The structure of the list to be larger than ever before, divided over spring start and autumn
2. Start exciting new models that create the stage for a new iPhone -era

If you receive six new iPhones every year, including two large starts per spring, the currently concentrated excitement will be spread out in the autumn start season.

We will also enjoy exciting new iPhone models, starting with this year and then next year with the iPhone folds.

In addition, Pro models receive convincing design changes that ultimately enable the dream of a really all-screen look.

New iPhone roadmap: degree

In recent years, iPhone sales have been largely stagnating. Apple still sells a hundred million iPhones every year, but the product does not grow.

This roadmap seems to be the best chance of Apple so far, to change this and to achieve a new one for the iPhone success. Hardware is only part of the story because Apple needs convincing software and AI progress. But we will hear much more about these two pieces in just a few weeks.
