Father killed, his fiance was seriously injured after he was hit by car while changing flat tires

Greensboro, NC (WXII) – A man was killed and his fiance was seriously injured when they were hit by a vehicle while changing a tire on the side of a highway in North Carolina.

Christopher Hammonds and his fiancé Lisa, whose last name was not given, switched to us 29 in Greensboro on May 2 in Greensboro.

The police said they had been run over the shoulder and had their danger lamps.

The police said another vehicle had run off the street and hit the couple and his vehicle.

Hammonds died and Lisa was taken to the hospital with life -threatening injuries.

The family said that Christopher Hammonds would miss milestone moments with his children.

The driver who met the couple was identified as a 25-year-old Robert Lynn Fafison Jr., a science teacher at the Dudley High School in Greensboro. The police said he drove under the influence.

He is suspended with several charges and was suspended by his job.
