Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area; Heavy T-storm clock for parts of our region

San Antonio – For parts of our western third of the area and in the south of the I -35 by Bexar County, a severe thunderstorm was published south by 11:00 p.m. A disturbance of the upper level approaches our region and develops scattered showers and thunderstorms. The first wave of rain moved through Bexar County with additional opportunities that evening.

Severe weather parameters of instability and shear are the highest in areas with the watch, but a very isolated strong to heavy storm cannot be completely rejected in and around Bexar County until 9 p.m. However, the opportunities prefer areas in the west or south for warnings that were issued in advance in the next few hours.

The main dangers of the watch are large hail and harmful gusts of wind. A very isolated tornado risk is also on the table for areas that are closer to the Rio Grande, as can be seen in the forecast of the Storm Storm Rounds of the Storm Prediction Center.
