La Pine, Ore. (KTVZ) – A serious crash closed the Highway 97 in both directions about 12 miles north of La Pine on Thursday evening, the Ministry of Transport by Oregon said.

The crash was reported at 8:50 p.m. near Milepost 156 and quickly brought the law enforcement authorities and firefighters to the scene.

“There is no estimate for how long the closure will take”

“Please use the alternative route, if possible, and be aware of emergency helpers in the region,” added the agency.
