Dozens killed in the attack on migrant facility in Yemen, say Houthis

Dozens of people were killed in an attack on a migrant facility in North Yemen controlled by Houthi, the militia and auxiliary members supported by Iran said on Monday.

The Houthi militia said an American strike was a migrant center in Saada and killed at least 68 African migrants. The US military did not immediately answer a request for a comment on the claim.

The attack came hours after the US military stated that the American armed forces had carried out more than 800 strikes in Yemen in a campaign against Houthis since mid-March. However, the campaign was not mentioned on “several commands and control facilities, air defense systems, manufacturing facilities for advanced weapons and storage locations for advanced weapons”-civile victims.

Houthi officials said that more than 100 civilians were killed and convicted the youngest strike as “hideous crimes against African migrants”.

The Houthis and the US military raised competing claims about who was responsible for civilian deaths. Last week, a spokesman for the US Central Command explained that an explosion on April 20, in which 12 people were killed in the Yemeni capital, was not caused by a failed Houthi rocket, not by an American strike, as the Houthis claimed.

On Monday, graphic film material showed bodies that were scattered in the rubble in Saada by the al-Masirah news channel that was broadcast by Houthi. In addition to the dozens killed, at least 40 migrants were injured, according to two auxiliary members in Yemen, who spoke about the condition of anonymity while further examining the circumstances of the attack.

Every year, tens of thousands of African migrants try the dangerous journey across the narrow street, which separates the Horn Africa from the Arabian Peninsula, in the hope of reaching wealthy golf states north of Yemen. According to the international organization for migration, almost 60,900 migrants arrived at Yemen in Yemen alone.

Last year, the Houthi's rockets and drones in Israel launched the market and ships in the Red Sea and said that their actions were in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The United States strengthened a bomb campaign against the Houthis from March 15, under the command of President Trump, who swore to continue military operations until the Houthis no longer pose a threat.
