Highway Patrol examines a fatal crash

The Norwalk Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol examines a single vehicle that took place on May 9, 2025 at around 5:54 a.m. The crash occurred on State Route 635, south of County Road 38 in Hopewell Township, Seneca County,.

Unity No. 1, a white Chevrolet Malibu 2016, which was operated by Glynn D. Evans II, 29 years, from Bettsville, Oh, was tied to the State Route 635, could not negotiate a curve on the street, drove from the right street, struck a ditch and a born cross. Mr. Evans suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was passed away at the crime scene. At the time of the crash, Mr. Evans did not wear his seat belt.

At this point, the crash will be further examined.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was supported by the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Bascom Joint Fire and Ems, John's Welding and Towing and the Coroner's Office of the Seneca County.
