Indianapolis -Indiana Fever Star Caitlin Clark continues to work from her leg injury, she said on Friday, but she plans to play in Atlanta on Saturday in Indiana's last pre -season game

“I take time (with the injury) and honestly feel really good,” she said on Friday after training. “Excited to get out there and play again tomorrow, to work on things we have to work on. Our medical staff was very helpful and I feel really good.”

Fever trainer Stephanie White said she did not intend to get someone out of the game on Saturday against the dream, which will be the fever's last live campaign before the regular season on May 17th.

Clark was held from the Fever's first pre-season game against Washington on May 3, but returned to the Brazilian national team in Iowa City on May 4 in Iowa City.

White said that Wednesday was limited in practice this week, but she said that she was a “full look” in what she can take part in. Nevertheless, the fever on the side of the injury is caution. With a week until the regular season, she doesn't want to make anything worse.

“When I'm in practice, I'm full,” said Clark. “I am in no way limited in the drills in which I am. In the past few days I have been pretty active, but there is no reason to really exaggerate something at the moment. It is still the beginning of the season, we don't play (a regular game of the season) for another week.”

Clark added that she does not know when or how she suffered from the injury, which she described as “only a little tight” in her left leg.

“Probably just a little too much basketball,” she said. “I love to be in the gym, but I think to understand when I should be in the gym and when I recovered, like things like that, I think it is just a balance and obviously back in the moment. It was nothing big or something.”
