Indianapolis (Wish) – A man was sentenced to 62 years in prison on Friday to shoot a fatal shootout in 2023 to the west side of the city.

Marion County's public prosecutor announced on Friday that Troy Briscoe was sentenced to 62 years in prison for the death of Sabrina Cowen. In April, Briscoe was found guilty after a curved court proceedings for murder.

“This case illustrates the unshakable commitment of our public prosecutor to put the most complex cases on behalf of the victims and their families,” said Marion County, Ryan Mears. “Regardless of obstacles, we strive to ensure that the victims have heard their history.”

Shortly before 10 p.m. on February 13, 2023, the civil servants of the Metropolitan Police Department of Indianapolis were called to the 3500 block of West 12th Street, where they were located in their garden. When Cowen arrived in the hospital, they found that she suffered from a gunshot wound. She died an hour later from the consequences of these injuries.

When Cowen's residence entered, there were several signs of a fight, including broken fingernails, a mussel housing and glasses on the floor.
