6 charged with children's crimes in several NC districts

Jackson County, NC (Fox Carolina) – Members of the Sheriff office of the Sheriff by Jackson County said that they had charged 6 men for crimes against children.

The MPs listened to the Brandon Scott Severt from Rowan County, Vincent John Lamonica from Transylvania, Nathan Lewis Burch from Rutherford County, Michael Glenn Lowe from Hamilton County in Tennessee, Joshua Phillip by Stanly County and John Thomas Ball Jrox by Knox, Joshua County in Tenessee.

Officials said the men were charged with the following:

Brandon Severt

  • Attempted legal rape of a child under or at the age of 15
  • Request of a child with the computer.

Officials said his bond was set at 300,000 US dollars.

Vincent Lamonica

  • Attempted legal rape of a child under or at the age of 15
  • Request of a minor by computer

Officials said his bond was set at 300,000 US dollars

Nathan Burch

  • Attempted legal rape of a child under or at the age of 15
  • Tried legal sexual offense with a child at or at the age of 15
  • Indecent freedom with a child
  • Request of a child with the computer

Officials said his bond was set at 350,000 US dollars

Michael Lowe

  • Attempted legal rape of a child under or at the age of 15
  • Indecent freedom with a child
  • Request of a minor by computer
  • Wear a hidden weapon

Officials said his bond was set at 300,000 US dollars.

Joshua Phelps

  • Attempted legal rape of a child under or at the age of 15
  • Tried legal sexual offense with a child at or at the age of 15
  • Indecent freedom with a child
  • Request of a minor by computer

Officials said his bond was set at 500,000 US dollars.

Jon Ball, Jr.

  • Experimental legal rape of the first degree
  • Tried legal sexual offense with a child at or at the age of 15
  • Indecent freedom with a child
  • Request of a minor by computer

Officials said his bond was set at 500,000 US dollars.

The Sheriff's office said that their MPs had worked with several law enforcement authorities from Monday to carry out “Operation The Creek”, which was a multi -day internet crime against the enforcement campaign for children.

The MPs said that the planning and organization of this process took several months to ensure their success.

Over 45 law enforcement officers were involved in the undercover examination.

The MPs said that more suspects could also be exposed to charges, but these will be announced at a later date.
