Lilly Miller publishes the personal provision in the mid-prairie victory against West Liberty

Two days before driving to the River Valley Conference Championship tournament in Muscatine, Mid-Prairie's golf team shone on a brilliant day on Monday at the Kalona Golf Course.

Lilly Miller, a senior, achieved a personal best score of 44 and tied the Addi Beaver of West Liberty in a 22-stroke victory of the Golden Hawks for medal-in-chance.

Paiton Chittick, who published a 49 and Delani Blum, who published a 50, also gave 9 holes.

“This was the day on which the children worked so hard and enjoyed it as a trainer,” said head coach Tracy Mcartor. “I love to see more of it.”

Five Golden Hawks shot in the 40s, including Olivia Swartzendruber, Addison English at 46 and Morgyn Bender with 47.

Chittick shot a 49, although he scored 10 in the 7th hole. And Bender had a 47, although he scored 9 with 4 putts on the 6th hole.

The Golden Hawks will go on Wednesday at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course after their third title in a row.

Wilton invite you

Morghyn Bender achieved an 18-hole value of 94 and took sixth place last Friday to lead the Golden Hawks at the Wilton Invitational.

The MID-Prairie finished third in the team competition with a score of 415.

Olivia Swartzentruber had a 106 and placed 11th place, Delani Blum scored a 107 for 13TH Place and Addison English came in 14TH With a 108.

Lilly Miller, who had a 110 and Paiton Chittick, who had an 115, was released on mid-prairie's score.

“Not the best day of children this year,” said McARTOR, “but they have held out against really good competition.”

Tipton The team title with a score of 392. Durant was 17 blows back.

On the same day, the Mid-Prairies JV squad went to Williamsburg to the unofficial JV meeting and became fourth with a combined score of 412.

Drea McCain, a junior, achieved a personal best 97 to run the Golden Hawks. Alena Snider posted a 103, Ariel Kaufman had a 104, Addy Kron had a 108, Annette Witthoft a 114 and Laurin Fay Shot 119.

“The majority of the team had never seen Stone Creek (golf course) or played on Bent Gras,” said Mcartor. “It was fun to see the girls so well, even under difficult conditions with constant wind, drizzle and cool temperatures.”
