“The White Lotus” Breakout Dom Hetrakul has registered in “Debic Happy”, a tedious Thai criminal film that went to the Cannes film market.

The project marks the functional debut of Warun Siriprachai and is based on the viral short film “How to Raning From Your Dedy”, which has built up several million views online.

The film revolves around such eight, played by Yasaka Chaisorn (“Death Whisperer 2”, “Halabala”), a man who was played by Sawanee Utoomma (“The Medium”, “The Creator”) and child who was murdered in her apartment. Such a part, the alleged perpetrator of the crimes, is determined to demonstrate his innocence and to find the perpetrator of the crime, played by Hetrakul.

HETRACUL, who previously appeared in “The Man with the Iron Fist 2”, obtained considerable visibility from HBOS “The White Lotus” season 3, which destroyed the series's records with his final of 6.2 million viewers.

Night Edge Pictures in Bangkok supports the project together with the production studio Wilan Prumpara and the producer Panida Ngamsompong (“Homestay”, “Friend zone”). Night Edge has an established track record in Thailand with successful theater publications, including “Talk to Me”, “Late Night with the Devil” and “Scharrier 3” as well as this year's Neon publication “Together” and “We Bury the dead”.

“We are pleased to have this film in our list of Thai films, while we lead to the global stage of exciting Southeast Asian stories that challenge the norm and break the form,” said Hans Audric Estialbo, CEO from Night Edge Pictures. “Cathedral, Yasaka and Sawanee are amazing global Thai talents, and their passion to bring independent films on an international stage is unsurpassed.”

“Debt penalty” is currently in production with a targeted publication in the second quarter of 2026.
