Las Vegas Police release list of most crash -prone intersections

The dangerous start of the year has dealt with the Las Vegas Metro Police (LVMPD) to react to hundreds of accidents in the entire valley.

On Friday evening, LVMPD published details on the most important crash -sustainable intersections in their responsibility.

One of the intersections; East and Sahara ranking on their list of most accidents since January, with the officials responding to 24 traffic collisions since the beginning of the year.

“I believe it, I believe it. In this area, especially in the morning and at a main traffic time, his people only want to go home quickly and every gap that they can find on the street,” said Las Vegas driver Daniel Galicia, who crosses the intersection almost every day.

Since January, LVMPD statistics have shown that the officials have reacted to more than six thousand traffic collisions, and while a reduction of less than two percent compared to the figures of the past year at the same time, says the LVMPD traffic office Lt. Anthony Cavaricci says that the reality of accidents can completely change a person's lives in an instant.

“The decisions you make while driving may be fatal and can end in the death of yourself or another community member,” said Lt. Cavaricci.

Finally, the LVMPD officials reacted to a three vehicle accident with an impaired driver on May 6, about half a mile east of Sahara and East. This means that several people are hospitalized.

In Charleston and Lamm; The third most common intersection, which was previously susceptible with 23 accidents, included the high -speed police hunt of a stolen vehicle on April 26, which ended with an accident at a nearby petrol station.

“You just have to be very careful when you drive out here. There is always something going on here,” added a driver.

Finally, the most susceptibility to fall in the Rainbow and Flamingo area has reacted to the LVMPD officers 26 times to traffic collisions in the past five months.

“Ultimately, I think that the members of the community on every roadway to be driving must be vigilant. Every main street that enables higher speeds that are published. Drive the speed limit. Avoid this temptation to save a life, even if it belongs to them,” added Lt. Cavaricci added.

To date. LVMPD traffic statistics show that there have been 63 traffic -related deaths since January.
