Lady jackets even score in Brick City Derby

Around 35 days after Southern Lee had achieved a one-goal victory in the first round of the Brick City Derby, the jackets returned on Tuesday evening when visiting the return.

Both teams fight for the playoff position when the regular season decreases. Union Pines has dominated the Sandhills Athletic Conference this season and will not only occupy the title of the entire conference, but also the position of the TOP 3A finisher in the league. However, both the Lady Cavaliers and the Lady jackets are solid in playoff position. Her second meeting of 2025 led to a 3-2 victory for Lee in the Paul Gay Stadium.

The Lady Jackets (9-7, 6-5 SAC) were looking for a 4-3 victory against a dominant performance by newcomer Elizabeth Harrington, who scored all four goals from the Lady Cavaliers. Harrington scored the goals for Southern again on Tuesday, but this time Lee's defense used her better, and she only scored two goals, one in every half. After the teams went half-time at half, Ava Baldwin gave the jackets a 2-1 lead in a long, high-ranking shot from about 25 meters in the 55th minute. From there Lee went to victory, with Lila Moshfegh and Emma Mcelroy scored the other two goals, which were supported by Abby Gaddy Harrison and Baldwin.

Lee County keeper Maggie Sessoms scored eight parades in the victory.

Lluvia Rubio and Brooke Burrus each had a template for the Lady Cavaliers, who are now at 12-5-1 and 6-4-1 after a defeat against Richmond on Wednesday evening.

The Southern ends at home against Union Pines Play on Monday evening, but also has a game against Triton on Wednesday. The HAWKs will again be a conference conference of the two Lee teams in autumn.

The Lady jackets still have four games to play, just one of them in the conference. Lee organizes Jordan-Matthews on Friday, then Fike on Monday. On Tuesday evening you will end the conference game in SAC Cellar-Dweller Scotland and travel to Middle Creek next Thursday to end the regular season.
