HERMANSVILLE FAST begins Norway Baseball to two wins against North Central and took 13: 1 on Thursday and two with 22: 3.

At the opener, the knights set up seven runs in the first inning. Cameron Varda took a lead-off walk and climbed second place with theft. Landon Amundson had an RBI double to put the knights on the board.

“We did a lot of great things today,” said Knights coach Tony Adams. “We have to continue working hard and improve for the tournament time.”

Bryce Adams and AJ Gallino had running hits and expanded the knight's lead to 4: 0. Tanner Finley followed with a single with two runs that expanded to 6: 0.

Owen Baij beat a double with two runs in the top of the second time to put on Knights 10-0.

Cole Baij won for the knights, who did not allow runs on zero hits with four strike outs and two walks.

In the second game, Amundson collected three goals in three goals at bats that produced three RBIs.

“I was only waiting for one fast ball,” said Amundson. “We saw a lot of fast balls today and I just tried to stay behind and make good contact.”

Norway climbed to the board in the top of the first inn, when Owen Baij scored a run and Cole Baij scored a run when the knights pressed over five runs.

At the end of the first draw and Nate Pipkorn, Aidyn Burton and Beau Maule drew to load the bases. Sam Salo followed it with a triple goal of three runs to reduce the deficit to 5-3.

“It was a great success of Sam,” said Jets coach Ben Snyder. “We definitely had some flashes of our ability, but at the end of the day we just couldn't keep it going.”

Norway reacted with 11 runs in the second inning, which was emphasized by a single by Cameron Varda with two runs.

Owen Baij won and allowed three runs with one goal with two strike outs and two walks in an Inning of Work.
