Boy who was killed when shooting near the Compton Park

A suspect remains at large after a boy was killed at a shootout near a Compton Park on Friday afternoon.

Los Angeles County's deputies reacted to the 2100 block of the Oris Street near Fig/Oleander Park shortly before 4 p.m.

The boy was found with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

No suspects were found at the crime scene and it is unclear what led to the deadly shootings. The film material from Sky5 showed that the authorities had held a playground in Fig/Oleander Park in a residential area.

The suspect remains at large. No further details, including the boy's age or identity, were released when the police were still examined. No suspicious description was provided.
