Woman that was identified last weekend from a fatal crash near Collins

Pine Belt, Miss. (WDAM)-A 53-year-old woman from Mobile, Alabama, was identified as a death last Sunday in an accident on US 49 north of Collins.

Covington County's forensic doctor, Christopher Daquila, said on Friday that Sandra Warren Montgomery was killed in the accident with three vehicles that happened on Sunday shortly before noon.

Dquila had said on Sunday that the woman who drove a Toyota Camry to the north was stopped at the intersection that leads to the ORA community in a red light on us 49.

Dequila said her vehicle was then hit from behind and pulled under an 18-wheeler before her car was sent to a van to the west at the intersection.

Dequila said the woman was declared dead at the crime scene.

The driver of the van was also injured and brought to Covington County Hospital with non -life -threatening injuries, said Daquila.

Dequila said that the driver of the 18-wheeler was detained by the Collins police department.
