The officer of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), Raj Kumar Thapa, who lost his life in Pakistaner early Saturday, was known for his unshakable professional dedication and his friendly approach, which many left in the Union Territory mourning.

Mr. Thapa, 54, was widely recognized for his unshakable professional devotion and his accessible nature, a quality that was deeply respected with the people he was used.

As a graduate of MBBS, he came to JKAS in 2001.

Mr. Thapa lost his life when a Pakistani artillery envelope hit his residential area in the neighboring district of Rajouri. He is survived by his wife, a doctor and two children.

The official was released in March last year as an additional district development commissioner Rajouri and played a key role in the treatment of the situation in the Badhaal Village, where 17 members of three families, including 13 children, died under mysterious circumstances after getting sick between December 7 and 19 January.

Before his term in Rajouri, Mr. Thapa worked for the former deputy Prime Minister Tara Chand from 2009 to 2014 as an officer of the specialization (OSD), apart from considerable roles, including mission director of the JK Skill Development Mission and special secretary of the Labor and Labor Department.

Prime Minister Omar Abdullah visited the bereaved in Roopnagar and was seen how he hugged his father Durga to allow his son's death.

“The family of Dr. Raj Kumar Mr Thapa, JKAS, ADDC Rajouri, who now lost his life because of the shot through Pakistan, has my condolences.

Previously, the Prime Minister had broken the news about the officer's death and said: “Delayed news from Rajouri. We lost a committed officer of the JK administration services. Only yesterday he accompanied the deputy CM (Surinder Choudhary) in the district and visited the online meeting I headed.” “Today the residence of the officer was hit by Pak fire when they were directed against the city of Rajouri and killed our additional district development commissioner Sh Raj Kumar Thapa. I have no words to put my shock and sadness about this terrible loss of life. May his soul rest in peace,” said Abdullah in an emotional post.

Tribute also flocked from various leaders, including Tara Chand, who welcomed Mr. Thapa as a “folk officer”.

“He was a highly dated and competent officer whose behavior was incomparable to the public. He worked like a social worker and was always ready to help the needy,” said the former deputy prime minister PTI before expressing his house to the family.

The deputy commissioner of Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, praised Mr. Thapa's exemplary commitment during the Badhaal incident and explained him as a “true hero on duty”.

Other prominent personalities, including the chairwoman of the Peoples Conference, Sajad Gani Lone and CPI (M) -Pleither My Tarigami, expanded the family of Mr. Thapa.

Jawaid IQBal, Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, praised Mr. Thapa's commitment and selfless service and said: “His victim will always be remembered with the greatest consideration and deepest respect.” “An insightful mind, a talented writer and a remarkable administrator,” said Johöb Allaqaband, social media user, and described the loss as “heartbreaking”.
