Important final data and highlights to know

Richmond, va. (Wwbt) – Several local universities hold their opening ceremonies this weekend. VCU, Virginia Union and the University of Richmond will all celebrate the class of 25.

The VCU will hold its university ceremony at 10 a.m. in the Greater Richmond Convention Center. In addition, the university will carry out various personal final celebrations in the department, at school and at the college level.

This spring, VCU has over 4,900 graduates from 47 different countries. Among these are more than 3,100 students, with over 1,000 first generation graduates.

Everette Taylor, a native and CEO of Richmond from Kickstarter, will address the keynote address at the beginning.

The doors for the university ceremony will be open at 8:30 a.m. and no tickets are required for participation.

Virginia Union will hold on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Hovey Field on Saturday, May 10, 2025, on the campus of Virginia Union University.

The keynote address for the opening ceremony 2025 is taken over by the honorable senator of the United States from Georgia and Seniable pastor of the historic Baptist Church in Atlanta. During the ceremony, Senator Warnock receives an honorary doctor from Laws, who recognizes his remarkable leadership and lifelong commitment to equity, education and empowerment.

The University of Richmond will hold its final ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025. This event applies to graduates from the School of Arts & Sciences, Robins School of Business and the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. The doors will be open at 12:00 p.m. and the ceremony will probably not take longer than three hours. All guests who take part in the main celebration of the opening must present their opening ticket.

  • The Abitur ceremony is planned for Sunday, May 11th, at 11 a.m. in the Cannon Memorial Chapel.
  • The opening ceremony for the School of Law is planned for Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Robins Center. The doors are open at 1 p.m. and the ceremony lasts about 1.5 hours, with a reception followed immediately. The guests do not need tickets for participation.
  • The opening ceremony for the School of Professional & Continuing Studies is planned for Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The doors are open at 7:30 a.m. and the ceremony takes about 1.5 hours with a reception immediately afterwards. Guests don't need tickets.
